After years of installing BOXEED systems in laboratories around the world, we are proud to bring our technology back to the country where it was developed. Our BOXEED phenotyping device has just been installed at the Laboratory of Growth Regulators (LGR) at Palacký University in Olomouc (UPOL).
LGR is a leading research facility studying molecular and physiological mechanisms of growth regulators, gene regulation, and plant hormones. The team at LGR immediately started testing their own experiments on the very first day, confirming BOXEED’s practical value and readiness for real research applications.
Installing the system in Czech brought some challenges—after years of English installations, we had to find the right technical terminology—but working closely with the LGR team made the process smooth and enjoyable.
BOXEED now enables fully automated seed phenotyping, sorting, and planting of seeds smaller than Arabidopsis thaliana. Its user-friendly design makes it ideal for researchers and students alike, helping labs improve efficiency, data quality, and accelerate scientific discovery.
We are excited to see BOXEED actively supporting research in the Czech Republic and look forward to witnessing the innovative results that LGR will achieve with our technology.
